Christy & John: A Rustic Mountainside Wedding

Upon climbing a snowy summit on their first date, hikers John and Christy were awed by the sudden appearance of a hummingbird. After sharing their first romantic kiss the two birdwatchers agreed that this unlikely visit represented a special blessing. Years later the moment inspired the motif of their mountainside wedding, located in a rustic lodge transformed for the occasion. The bride, groom, family, and guests all followed a guitarist down a birdseed path into a forest clearing for the ceremony. Afterward everyone enjoyed an afternoon of song and conversation in the cozy dining room, the great windows providing a panorama of Mt. Hood. Bird feeders hung ahead of time wooed hummingbird guests to join family and friends for a bit of sweet on the lodge's porch.
