Dear Jennifer and Ellen, You were a spectacular team to work with—fun, inventive, professional, down to earth. From the moment I first met you both, I knew you were the right people for Darren and me to work with to plan our wedding and ceremony of over 200 guests that took place in two very different locations. You had the unique and uncanny ability to take all my many, often diverse and sometimes contradictory(!) musings and visions about color, timing, spacing, decor, mood, flowers, and food, and combine them with Darren's own very distinct visions and desires, to come up with one comprehensive plan that we loved that incorporated both of our dreams, thoughts and desires. You took charge of exactly what we asked you to take charge of, and were flexible enough to allow us to complete and construct what we wanted to. You did not suffocate what we wanted to do with what you wanted to do—you presented your ideas and concepts and incorporated them with ours to create one beautiful, memorable, once-in-a-lifetime unique day and evening. Weddings involve a lot of decisions and they can involve a lot of expense. In the many phone conferences and email discussions we had, we explored all the different options about every little detail until we'd reached an agreement and a decision on each little thing, and happily. You left absolutely no stone unturned—you helped to incorporate the content of the ceremony with the mood and tone of the reception, and, without being too commanding, let us set pace for the event, while calming and subtly keeping an eye on the time for us. When it came to financial decisions, you asked us how much we wanted to spend on each aspect of our wedding and talked us through how realistic our thoughts for each expenditure were—then told us when you thought an expense was frivolous, when it was necessary, when our money could be better spent in a different way—and then you really left it up to us to make our own decisions. You also worked with us when we worked with all the vendors, and you worked directly with all the vendors as well—the caterer, the rental company, the musicians. You communicated details about when and where with them, which allowed Darren, my family, and I to focus on the larger picture. And you were simply the best when it came to the flowers—I mentioned one or two specific flowers I liked and wanted at my wedding, and we talked about the types of arrangements I liked, and you knew exactly what to do, what to create, how to present it, and made it all totally original, unique, and personal. On the day of the wedding, you were both as cool as could be—Jennifer on site at the wedding ceremony, Ellen on site at the reception, and it worked beautifully. I had complete confidence in you both from the moment I woke up that day. Darren and I could concentrate on having a spectacular time, not on when to do this or that, or how long something was taking. My husband and I, both our families, and the wedding party now have nothing but fabulous memories from our wedding day, and we owe much of that to the outstanding and thorough hard work of Jen Elle.
