Mackenzie & JJ: Late Afternoon in an Autumn Orchard Even as a boy JJ knew he would one day ask Mackenzie to be his wife. This history of being longtime friends and sweethearts lent itself beautifully to the use of a tree image in various stages of growth as the basis of the overarching wedding design. From a sapling, sweetly depicted on their invitations, to a leafed-out flowering tree etched on each placemarker, guests noted the subtle symbol of growing and blossoming love. The perfect setting was then found on the fringes of an apple orchard, inspiring the bride to reminisce about the harvest festivals held at her own childhood home's arbor. A love of bountiful food called for a French provincial-style menu, allowing each guest to linger over fine wine and an outstanding menu. Finally, the bride's spirited personality contributed to a youthful and vivacious emphasis on bold color. Click on the thumbnails to the right to view larger images.
